When I say that “Not all Realtors are the same”, this is not just hype. It is actually a true statement that there are no real job handbooks for a real estate agent, and that means that service levels are all over the place. Every day, I run into agents who think they are on lifestyles of the rich and famous, agents who think they are Donald Trump (which is also all over the place), agents who think they are Frank Lloyd Wright-esque great designers of things, agents who can barely conjugate the English language, agents who are nervous and twitchy, agents who want to be bullies and steamroller people,
agents who should be selling used cars or insurance instead of houses, agents who know everything about every subject, and agents who might not really need to be agents at all. I am certain that I forgot some of the “types” and reserve the right to edit as needed.
Anyway, with all these personality types, and all of these methods, it can be confusing as to what a Real Estate Agent is actually supposed to do. Here for comparison is what I provide to my Clients…this is by no means an industry standard, but rather it is my personal “Mike Hill Method”.
